  Chrome or Edge Browser? Which is Better?

  so i finally am on windows 10. my computer kept asking me and i kept refusing, but then it went to a countdown and before i had a chance to stop it, it was updating, and i couldn't use my laptop for the full 1000 year reign of jesus christ.. when i finally could use it, i had a problem opening chrome with all my favourite apps or pages stored.

  sometimes i have to open edge for for chrome to open.

  but i have had a little go a edge.. edge has a different search engine to google, anyone know what it is?

  Google is pretty shitty when it comes to privacy too... go Firefox or Chromium if you are concerned about that

  What Anders Andersen is not correct about Edge.

  Edge is pretty much, pragmatically speaking, standards compliant, s/he is confusing Edge with Internet Explorer - which was not standards compliant and was a giant mess to develop for.

  horrible crime in glasgow on thursday evening when a well loved muslim shop keeper asad shah was stabbed to death by at least one other muslim man.

  mohammad faisal, a family friend, said a bearded muslim wearing a long religious robe entered mr shah’s shop and spoke to him in his native language before stabbing him in the head with a kitchen knife.. mr shah had posted the twitter message ‘good friday and a very happy easter, especially to my beloved christian nation’.

  residents of shawlands in glasgow say he was well respected and had been known to hand out christmas cards to neighbours despite being of a different faith.. hundreds have turned out in a vigil near the crime scene....

  Islam is not a monolith. But the Koran does specifically encourage believers to commit acts of violence and murder in the name of Allah. I understand not all Muslims condone violence. But peaceful Muslims don't get to say terrorists are "not real Muslims" when they carry out the very acts encouraged by their holy book.

  Most of the time Darren does not answer my prayers, but I know he hears them.

  Sometimes he does though.

  Why, the other month I had no money, and I prayed "O Darren, King of all the Fish people, please give me money for sustenance and that new PlayStation game I want to pre-order" and THE VERY NEXT DAY I received in my bank account a sum of money that was not only enough to cover these things, it was also the EXACT same amount as my employer pays me each month in wages.

  McKinney Texas pool party?

  Surely you agree that an officer does have the authority to physically restrain, using appropriate force, a non-complying citizen.

  Depends on the circumstance, in this case
  

  1) The child had done nothing that required physical force, let alone assault, body slamming and handcuffs, yea maybe for an armed robber? For this - madness

  2) Depends what the non-compliance is for, if the officer is being unreasonable or telling someone to do something they have no obligation to do, then no, I don't think the office should be laying a finger on them and should get on with their job - it then becomes harassment

  Sorry, I didn't see your 2nd question, I wasn't evading:

  Should US citizens show respect for US authorities and comply with orders?

  Again it depends what the order is, if it's reasonable and in public interest, sure, if it's an officer on a power trip - no. I say again, police are public servants, not god figures that can tell people to do whatever they feel like and expect them to do it, *just because* they are police. Police are there to serve, protect and uphold the law, not be beyond it.

  Respect should be shown if it is earned, wearing a police badge does not give anyone the right to respect, their actions show if they deserve it or not. Office Rambo deserves zero respect, the man is nothing more than a thug, who happens to be wearing a uniform.

  Not in the USofA

  I did google what I stated before posting, and from reputable sources and Wikipedia from that I could make out that was the case. But I don't live there, so I fully admit that I have no great knowledge of the system.

  Regardless of the laws, from the perspective of a human being, It is completely f***ed up that an officer can assault and handcuff a young girl for pretty much nothing though, and that be fine because "he has authority". I say again, the USA is an Orwellian, totalitarian police state.

  officers of the law have authority over citizens, and so can make reasonable demands of those citizens.

  Officers are citizens, and also public servants. They have no authority over the public *unless* someone is committing or suspected of committing a crime. Slamming someone to the ground and handcuffing them is only an appropriate response if someone is committing or suspected of committing a serious crime. Pretty obvious to anyone with eyes this was not the case

  What do you think should happen to the officer?

  Fired and tried for assault. The USA is so messed up no doubt people will praise him though
